What is Multi-Threaded Apartment or MTA? What is the basic difference between MTA enabled and STA com server code?

Multi Threaded Apartment is a logical thread block between client and server keeping more than one thread at a time active from client to server. In using a Single Threaded Apartment there is almost no need of making the server thread safe. But for Multi Threaded Apartment it is mandatory to make the server thread safe.
